  1.         Windows 95 installation:

  3.         In Windows 95 you can install MicroCook two ways. Either as a
  4.         shortcut icon on the desktop, or as an icon in an other folder.
  5.  
  6.         As a desktop shortcut icon:
  7.         Click on the Start button. RIGHT click and then select Explore. 
  8.         In the left Explorer window find the folder where you installed
  9.         MicroCook to (C:\MCOOK ??). Double click on the folder and look
  10.         for MCOOK.EXE. When you find it, single click on the name. On the
  11.         bottom line of the Explorer window it now should read "1
  12.         object(s) selected", and the file size. This should be over
  13.         500KB. Now click and drag the MCOOK.EXE file to the desktop.
  14.         There it will be displayed with the MSDOS icon, and the text
  15.         "Shortcut to MicroCook". You can leave it as it is, or change
  16.         both name and icon. To start this, RIGHT click on the MicroCook
  17.         icon, and select Properties. To rename the icon, select Rename,
  18.         and then edit the text below the icon. Click outside the icon
  19.         when done. To change the icon, right click again, and this time
  20.         select Properties. Click on the Program tab, and then the Change
  21.         Icon button in the lower right corner. You can now select from
  22.         the icons displayed, or use one of the 3 that's included with
  23.         MicroCook. To use one of those, select Browse, then click on the
  24.         Move up one Level button (right of "Look in" window) until you
  25.         are in the root directory and can see the MicroCook folder.
  26.         Double click on folder, and select on of the ICO files there.
  27.         Click on OK. Now, click on the "Screen" tab, and under "Usage" be
  28.         sure to set the dot on the Full screen. MicroCook can work in a
  29.         window, but then you should set the font size to 10 x 18 under
  30.         the Font tab in Properties. Otherwise the default font will be
  31.         very small. But the screen updates will be a lot faster and
  32.         smoother when MicroCook run in a full Window.

  34.              To install MicroCook as a part of an other menu group, click
  35.         on the Start button, and select "Settings". Now move to and
  36.         select "Taskbar", and click once. Select the "Start Menu
  37.         Programs" tab, and then click on "Add", and then "Browse" -
  38.         OR fill in the full name and path in the "Command line"
  39.         window if you know it. If the directory where you installed
  40.         MicroCook is called C:\MCOOK, type in: C:\MCOOK\MCOOK.EXE
  41.         If you use "Browse", find the folder where MicroCook is, and
  42.         double click on it. Then find the MCOOK.EXE icon and name, and
  43.         double click on it. Back at the "Command line", click on "Next>",
  44.         and when in "Program Folder", select in which folder you want to
  45.         place MicroCook. You can also create a new folder here for
  46.         MicroCook. Click on "Next>" when done. Now you can "Select Name
  47.         for Shortcut". Click on "Finish" when done, and you are back in
  48.         Windows 95.
